The forum, supported by the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, and organized by the Small and Medium Business Development Agency (KOBIA), the Independent Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association of Turkey (MÜSİAD), and IBF, brought together government officials, entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives of international organizations and the diplomatic corps from nearly 30 countries.
The forum, held under the slogan "Azerbaijan: The Pearl of Asia," aimed to present Azerbaijan's investment opportunities, including the rich potential of our liberated territories, to foreign investors. It also sought to expand economic and trade relations and business cooperation between participating countries.
The event began, as per the traditions of the International Business Forum, with recitations from the Holy Quran.
As part of the forum, films showcasing Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood and the favorable business and investment environment of Azerbaijan were shown.
In his opening speech, Mikayil Jabbarov, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, noted that it was a significant event for Azerbaijan to host the International Business Forum for the first time. He emphasized the importance of the event in promoting Azerbaijan's business and investment environment to a wide investor audience, developing connections between local and foreign investors, fostering innovative initiatives, and creating vast opportunities for the realization of new projects. The Minister of Economy also provided information on the priority sectors of Azerbaijan's economy and highlighted the measures taken to achieve the set goals.
